Clearing over the Columbia

South and east across the Columbia river as the moon rises on November.

A nice dramatic opening, and now, onto some shots from earlier in the week. Yep, you guessed it, leaves!

There was a change in the light on Thursday and I followed 164th to the end. The clouds were spiraling upward dramatically, but then gradually became normal. In this channel-swapped infrared shot, I was unaware of the moon rising, instead trying to capture the clouds movement east of Portland.

The similar shot at the top of this blog was some time later. If you scroll back up, you can see how after a few minutes, the clouds compressed themselves back down.
